Construction site theft is an ongoing problem that is costing the industry an estimated £800m per year. In a survey carried out by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), 92% of respondents confirmed they had been affected by theft, with a staggering 21% reporting weekly site robberies.
The Construction Equipment Association (CEA) recently announced a significant increase in theft of plant equipment and machinery, vehicles and tools from sites. The reported 50% surge in crime rates comes as opportunistic thieves trespass deserted construction sites caused due to the coronavirus lockdown.
After undertaking a site security audit we would put together a detailed 24/7 security plan that would provide an overt deterrent to protect the site against opportunist thieves whilst using intelligent tracking and monitoring solutions to track any assets that are stolen.
The main services we provide within this sector include site CCTV and monitoring, on site security teams, mobile patrols and tracking solutions.
